Best AI voice cloning tools in 2026: an honest comparison
Which AI voice cloning tool should you pick? We compared seven services on facts you can check on their own websites: lowest price, whether the free plan really includes cloning, how long a sample you need to record, French and Arabic support, subscription or one-time payment, and where the company is based. Voqia is one of the seven. It is not the best choice for everyone, and this page says who it is for and who should pick something else.

Short answer: the best tool depends on what you need
- Clone your voice for free, then pay without a subscription: Voqia (1 cloned voice and 10 minutes free, one-time packs from €4.99) or Clone.fr (1 voice and 1 minute free, subject to daily availability, packs from €5).
- The cheapest subscription with cloning: Hume ($3 per month, and cloning is already included in its free plan), then Cartesia ($5 per month).
- The lowest cost per minute for heavy monthly use: Cartesia Pro (about 133 minutes of speech for $5 per month) and Gradium XS (about 5 hours for $13 per month), as long as you use the allowance every month.
- The most complete platform (professional voice cloning, studio features): ElevenLabs, from $6 per month for instant cloning and $22 per month for professional cloning.
- The shortest sample: 10 seconds is enough for Fish Audio, Cartesia and Gradium. Voqia accepts 10 seconds too, but recommends 30 to 50 seconds for a closer match.
- The most languages: Fish Audio (83 languages for its S2.1-Pro model) and Cartesia (44 languages for Sonic 3.6). Voqia covers 9.
- Arabic as well as French: Voqia, ElevenLabs, Fish Audio, Cartesia, Clone.fr, and Hume in preview. Not Gradium, whose cloning covers 5 languages.

What the cheapest paid option actually gives you
The lowest price does not tell the whole story: the amount of audio included varies a lot. The cost per minute below divides the price by the audio announced by each service. For subscriptions, it assumes you use the whole allowance every month.
| Service | Plan and price | Audio included | Approximate cost per minute |
|---|---|---|---|
| Voqia | Starter, €4.99 one time | 60 minutes, never expire | €0.08 (€0.04 with the 10-hour pack at €24.99) |
| ElevenLabs | Starter, $6 per month | 30k credits per month | Not specified in minutes |
| Fish Audio | Plus, $15 per month | Up to 200 minutes per month (credits do not roll over) | $0.075 |
| Cartesia | Pro, $5 per month | About 133 minutes per month | $0.04 |
| Hume | Starter, $3 per month | About 30 minutes (30,000 characters) per month | $0.10 |
| Clone.fr | €5 one time | 30 minutes, never expire | €0.17 (€0.13 with the 300-minute pack at €39) |
| Gradium | XS, $13 per month | About 5 hours per month | $0.04 |
Free plans: which ones really let you clone a voice?
A free plan does not always mean free voice cloning. ElevenLabs and Cartesia give free text-to-speech credits, but cloning a voice requires a paid plan ($6 and $5 per month).
Hume, Gradium, Clone.fr and Voqia include cloning in their free plan, with different limits. Gradium gives the most free audio (about 1 hour) but does not allow commercial use. Hume allows unlimited clones with about 10 minutes of speech per month. Clone.fr gives 1 voice and 1 minute, while daily availability lasts. Voqia gives 1 voice and 10 minutes, without a credit card. For Fish Audio, the plan page strikes through "Enhanced voice cloning" on the free tier, while its voice cloning page says "Free tier, no card": we mark it as not specified.
Sample length: from 10 seconds to 2 minutes
Fish Audio, Cartesia and Gradium build an instant clone from 10 seconds of audio (Cartesia accepts up to 60 seconds to better keep the speaker's accent). Hume needs as little as 15 seconds, Clone.fr about 20 seconds. Voqia asks you to read a text aloud for 10 to 50 seconds in the browser. ElevenLabs recommends about 1 to 2 minutes of clean audio for its instant cloning.
With every tool, recording quality matters more than length: a quiet room, a microphone close to your mouth and a natural reading give a more faithful clone.
Subscription or one-time payment
Five of the seven services are sold as monthly subscriptions: ElevenLabs, Fish Audio, Cartesia, Hume and Gradium. Two sell one-time packs: Voqia and Clone.fr. For the same amount of audio, Voqia costs less per minute than Clone.fr (about €0.08 per minute with the 1-hour pack and €0.04 with the 10-hour pack, against €0.13 to €0.17 at Clone.fr), and includes 2 to 10 cloned voices depending on the pack, where Clone.fr charges €5 for each extra voice.
If you generate hours of audio every month, a subscription can be cheaper: Cartesia Pro announces about 133 minutes for $5 per month. If you only need audio from time to time, a one-time pack avoids paying for months you do not use.
Languages: English, French and Arabic
All seven services support French. For Arabic, Gradium is the exception: its voice cloning page lists English, French, German, Spanish and Portuguese only. At Hume, French and Arabic are handled by Octave 2, which is labeled as a preview.
Voqia's cloned voices speak 9 languages: English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, German, Hindi and Arabic. Its interface is also available in Arabic (right to left), and the same minutes transcribe Arabic audio into text.
Who Voqia is for, and who should pick another tool
Voqia is a good fit if…
you want to clone your own voice, test it for free without a credit card, then pay once for the audio you need, with minutes that never expire and also work for transcription. It suits occasional creators, teachers and small businesses who need English, French, Arabic or one of the other 6 languages.
Pick another tool if…
you need professional voice cloning or a full studio (ElevenLabs), the cheapest monthly subscription (Hume, Cartesia), more than 9 languages (Fish Audio, Cartesia), a library of ready-made voices (Voqia only uses cloned voices), an API to build your own product (Voqia has no public API), or several hours of audio every month.
